The Wicks Group recently began a project to assist the Panama Autoridad Aeronautica Civil (AAC) with assessing the extent to which it is in compliance with the international requirements and standards that are the focus of FAA International Aviation Safety Assessment audits. The FAA awards a Category 1 rating to countries that it finds to be in compliance with the standards, and a Category 2 rating to those it finds are not. Our consultants and technical experts will be conducting an on-site IASA baseline study of the AAC's structure, regulations and guidance, inspector training, certification processes, and other operations to identify any areas of non-compliance with the relevant requirements. TWG will provide the AAC with a report of findings as well as specific recommendations for corrective actions needed to resolve compliance issues.
