Through an agreement with the Civil Aviation University of China, The Wicks Group was hired to develop and deliver civil aviation inspector training focused on General Aviation and Business Aviation (GA/BA) oversight for more than 20 newly designated CAAC GA/BA inspectors. After developing a 10-day training curriculum on GA/BA safety oversight and monitoring drawing from the US approach as well as others, TWG delivered the curriculum in English to the CAAC inspectors who had traveled to Washington, DC for the training.
The core modules were delivered by TWG attorneys and technical consultants, primarily through classroom-based instruction using PowerPoint slides but enriched throughout with case studies, exercises, and discussions. The course also incorporated guest speakers from the United States Federal Aviation Administration, the National Business Aircraft Association, the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and site visits to a nearby GA/BA airport and an FAA Flight Standards District Office.
