On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, The Wicks Group attended the 2025 Civil Aviation Symposium: The Future of Aviation Connectivity Powered by Japan-US-ASEAN Collaboration. The conference was hosted by the Japan International Transport and Tourism Institute, USA (JITTI), an independent, non-profit research organization that focuses on researching and revising transport and tourism issues and policy, both in the United States and internationally.
This year’s JITTI conference theme was bolstering aviation connectivity in the Asia-Pacific Region. Following the opening remarks and greetings by the guest of honor, Shigeo Yamada, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the United States of America, attendees enjoyed multiple keynote speeches and discussion panels. For a full list of panels and distinguished speakers, please visit: https://www.jittiusa.org/2025-civil-aviation-symposium.
The Wicks Group has provided research and analytics consulting support to JITTI for more than a dozen years, including conducting comprehensive analyses and studies, participating in or moderating industry study group meetings sponsored by JITTI, and preparing materials for participation in industry conferences or seminars hosted by JITTI in Washington and Tokyo. Recent studies have covered the growth and impact of the regional airline industry, strategies for maximizing the potential of multiple-airport markets, trends in airline alliances, antitrust immunity in airline mergers, and the impact of Open Skies Agreements on the US-Europe and US-Japan markets.
TWG is grateful to JITTI for hosting a thoughtful and deeply informative symposium and thanks them for the opportunity to attend. For more information about The Wicks Group, please contact Glenn Wicks at gpwicks@wicks-group.com.
